Yeah, I don't go out so often but I do know what nightlife is like in Latin American countries .

I'd prefer electronic genres or salsa (a Cuban danceable genre that sounds like this).

SD is almost calling them genres when showing them as individual answers, that's why I mentioned them.

Reggaeton was born as a mix between rap and regaee regardless of the language. It's just hard to differentiate between reggaeton and rap or hip hop because they're pretty much mixed these days. But the instruments used are a give-away. Also the lyrics are different in many cases, as reggaeton often talks about contact-dancing and having se>< (smash64 and Shadrio can confirm it ).
