Title: Mario Kart DS
System: DS
Graphics:
The Karts is MK, look decent, doesn't stand up to DKR's, but still look nice for the DS. Many of the characters also look very good, but still have slight pixelation to them. As for the courses, they aren't the best, but aren't bad. Sometimes they appear blurry, or just look plain terrible, but that shouldn't matter to you too much. All around, MK DS's graphics are mediocre.

Offline Gameplay:
Mario Kart DS's gameplay is outstanding. On single player, you can either do Grand Prix, Time Trials, VS, Battle, or Missions. Each, and everyone of those is very very fun to play, beleive me. On Grand Prix, you have 3 different classes, 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, those basically mean how much harder the computer player will be. In time trials, you try to get the fastest lap around each course, after the first lap is finished, a "ghost player" appears, you must beat him, in order to get a better score then your first trial lap. You can also, send a ghost, or receive a ghost. Now is VS mode, it's just a basic race, you choose your character, and the game randomly chooses your opponents/computer players. Battle mode is similar, except you don't race the cpus, you face them in balloon battle, or shine runners. In balloon battle, you use different items, to "burst" the opponents balloons. In Shine runners, you have to collect more "shines" then any other opponent. Next, in missions, you go through different levels, (1,2,3,4,5,6), and play missions, like collect 20 coins. You must complete 6 missions in each of the levels to face the boss opponent of that level. Once you have defeated the boss, you officially completed the level.

Online Gameplay:
Another great feature of MK DS is it's WFC. You can go online, and face people around the world in Mario Kart. It's defiantly fun to do, though there is one thing that brings down my interest in it, that being, snaking. Snaking is something that most MK DS players user, where they abuse the power slide, this giving them a huge advantage in races. Mainly, becuase snaking is the equivalent of using golden mushroom. But that doesn't keep me from playing it, I don't snake, and I always have fun.

Sound:
MK DS's sound is pretty good. Ported stages, use older music, and older stages use newer music. Most of the time, the sound comes out smoothly, but some occasions it sounds quite bad, and annoying. But it really doesn't effect the game that much, to be an inconvenience.
