I concur. I'd be fine with one like Assault (Which no one seems to like. I thought it was good beyond the shit-faced controls). Hopefully the SF64 3DS remake will control like SF: Command. That would rule.

Star Fox Command was very good. The problem with Assault was mostly the general third-person control. It was really loose and lacked precision. The game wasn't bad, but it could have been downright awesome if they put it together correctly.

I'd care more for a online focused multiplayer F-Zero game. I played F-Zero GX last year (for the first time) and enjoyed it a lot.
As for Star Fox: Command, I found it good, but too dull to keep me attached for more than 3 finales, it felt too much like the same thing every time. Hopefully SF64 3DS gives the Star Fox guys insight on what Star Fox players like, and what they'd want, and then blow that to the extreme, so they'd really surprise everyone with the next Star Fox. One example would be DKCR, on how people were missing DKC and its difficulty and Retro came along and made DKCR, a SNES-level hard game (not blow-your-brains out hard, but enjoyably hard so you'd give it some effort) and added the hard challenge that is Mirror Mode and the insane Time Trials.

The game wasn't bad, but it could have been downright awesome if they put it together correctly. My problem was that, while the controls were OK, you had to use one set for everything. Landmaster, Arwing or walking for everything, o switch them everytime you drove something. I think I ended up using the Landmaster controls, meaning useing R+L to walk forward/backward. Bullshit.

F-Zero was a great mention. GX is still a fantastic game to this day. They could really do amazing things with it if they revived it.

While not as popular as Merios or Pokeymans, I really want solid info on Pikmin 3, not "still in development" or "near completion" bull feces. I understand how Miyamoto is all "Yo, late good game be good, but a mediocre rushed game on time be bad fo' life, bitches", but no news whatsoever? It's diabolical! (in both a good and bad way, but right now it feels mostly bad)
A Q# 2011 would be great to hear. I really want the game, but a not-so popular game that doesn't get hyped... eh. I just hope the game blows my mind to Hocotate and back, with all the time it must have been in development. Pikmin 2 was teh shit, and I really want a free day to just grab my copies of Pikmin 1 and 2 to just get lost in them for a few hours (or the entire day).
