Between Link and Mario, although both don't speak, Mario has a bit more personality. I guess that's natural when it's a character that's been around as long and done the stuff Mario does. I'd go with Mario, and Fox or Link would be 2nd.

I'm between Mario and Link, even though I'm a Fox user(I hated the new look for fox, just cuz I use fox doesnt mean I play his games) and since I use Mario more...

Link is better than all of those characters combined, all of his games were better than everyone elses (except maybe mario brothers) and he is cool. plus his story line rocks.
