Okay. Since there's like a million boards here, I figure I'll review a game I've been playing. Hell, we all know I like to talk games. I'm just gonna do this the easy way and break it down into categories.
So this is one of my smaller, category based reviews. Generally I like to go more in depth but this will do for those of you who either don't have a Wii, got stuck with the GCN version, or both.
Story: Zelda is generally the same story. Well, SOME of the time. Without spoiling anything, this story is obviously much darker and twisted than ever before. There are alot of supporting characters as usual, but they have a deeper connection in these recent games. Not as far as a sister like Wind Waker, but Link does have some friends he watches over.
Graphics: Nothing special really. The graphics are good, but it's nothing that seperate the Wii from the Gamecube. Character models could be better, but environments are very detailed. Particle effects are really nice though. It should be noted that these are some of the better graphics on the Wii though. Lighting is done very nicely and the art style is great. All this and the game never, ever loads like usual Zeldas. Amazing.
Controls: The way a Wii game SHOULD be played. People say it's just tacked on, but I don't know how they could come to that conclusion. The Wiimote works very well and the controls have that level of depth that just lets you know Nintendo thought this one through. I never had so much fun shooting a bow or just fighting in general in a game. Alot of new additions have come into the fray that make this so awesome and superior to the other Zeldas. You can combine bombs with arrows, there's new fighting moves you can learn, HORSE FIGHTING. My god, this game blows me away.
Sound: It's Zelda. Generally the soundtrack is very good. The old sound effects still remain (like when you find a secret) but the world themes are always fun to listen to in different areas. Oddly enough I don't know the name of the guy who composes the Zelda games, so he must be underrated. The only thing I would be able to complain about (which I have in the past) is that Zelda games lack voiceovers, which means you'll have to read your way into the story. This isn't a big problem though, since the dialogue is nicely done anyway. The speaker on the Wiimote adds some depth when you sheathe and unsheathe your sword, as well as that "doo doo do doo do doo doo" noise when you find secrets. Midna's giggling also comes through the Wiimote speaker. Not anything drastic, but it gives you a closer feel to the game.
Fun: It's truly alot of fun for Zelda fans and non Zelda fans alike. The game reinvents the series the way Ocarina of Time did. It's so great. I played the game about 10 hours before I wrote this review, and was blown away. I played another 5 hours before I edited this review, and I was blown away even more. It hasn't even stopped impressing me yet, which is the mark of a classic. This is something you could play years from now.
Score: 10/10

Oh, you're probably right. I thought the Wii was a worldwide release but IDK for sure. It's in US and Japan though.
I would also say that the Wii is worth buying simply to play TP. Really lived up to the hype on that one.

how good is it compared to OoT? 70% as good?

how good is it compared to OoT? 70% as good? I'm not the person to ask as I find games to all eventually become obselete. As amazing as OoT is, I found Wind Waker better than it. I'd say Twilight Princess is arguably the best Zelda yet. That should answer your question without a fuss.

I'm considering getting the GCN version if the Wii doesn't become available when it gets released. Should I do that? I never thought I'd ever consider it.

GCN version isn't out over here but after experiencing the Wii controls I don't think I can have the same experience going on with the Gamecube control. You should keep options open, the Wii is restocking in stores by 2 hundred thousand every week in America.

*Bumpitty*
After purchasing the GCN version, I can safely say the experience is just as solid. The controls, while not delivering the same amount of fun as the Wiimote does, are still the same refined Zelda controls we've had for the traditional controllers. Nothing else is really different, but I could play the GCN version if I'm tired out from swinging my arms in the Wii version.

But I like OoT better than any other Zelda I've played... That game was waaay ahead of it's time. WW was good, but not quite as... THAT... If you understand me...

No. Wind Waker is probably the best Zelda in the whole series. Don't even get me started on critical reviews (which I don't actually trust). Critically TP had lower scores universally than WW and OoT, and equal scores to Majora's Mask. Wind Waker remains the most underrated game in the series.

I don't think any other Zelda game around can beat those awesome graphics of Twilight Princess has, Link looks great in it, smooth, and not really blocky, and the environments I've seen look beautiful as well.
I am truly ecstatic about playing this game in just half a week from now, I'm only believing the good stuff I've heard, anything else is being picky and is wrong, and from what I've literally heard, music in Twilight Princess is great.

No dude. Wind Waker has the best visual prowess in the series, and possibly the best graphics ever seen in a video game. Twilight Princess isn't bad graphic wise. The character models are basically update from the OoT/MM art style with some twists. The environments are good, some dungeons are masterful. Effects and some monster design is really where the game shines.
Maybe you saw the infamous 8.8 Gamespot review? Fools. Every one of them. Anything under perfection for this (or most of the past console Zeldas at the time they released) is almost shameful.

I personally greatly dislike Wind Waker's cartoony and completely unrealistic look for things, I was disappointed by WW, to some, this may sound crazy, but to me, it doesn't feel like a Legend of Zelda game, the character's attitude's, their ridiculous look, sorry to say, but I didn't like it.
I couldn't be happier with what Nintendo has done with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, I'm looking very forward to playing this, and know it'll be great, my favourite before even laying a hand on it, whatever everyone else says. I've heard a lot of people coming out saying it's their favourite Zelda game of all time (meaning: best there is).

Think about the story of WW without the Graphics it had, I think he's talking about the basic storyline. but heck, I'm no mind reader. *Reads someones palm*

This is a fledging response of someone who either started with OoT or doesn't appreciate the childish start Zelda had. You clearly know nothing of the original magic of Zelda. Unrealistic doesn't make graphics bad. This is a casual gamer look at things. Good graphics are based on whether or not the game has slowdown, being able to see things clearly, the amount of polygons in the character and environment models, and the art style among other things. If you think TP has better graphics than Wind Waker you know absolutely nothing. And if you like TP more than WW just because Link is older or because it has a more mature look then you're practically the stereotypical gamer that most Xbox and Sony fans are. Once again retarded. Zelda started with the cartoonish things on NES. It was always very much like that. Wind Waker's graphics KILL Twilight Princess. The art style, the particle effects, the animation, everything. No, you're not a mind reader.
