im wonderin why the price is so high anyone got a clue I takes ALOT of investment by the publisher to make a game or console. Most games cost around 1-2 million dollars. and the consoles? wow. tons of money. to lower the risk, raise the price. but not many people will want to spend 400$ on a new console, so it's not to bright with that price...

They make them in factories hundreds at a time. for games even thousands, it's all the programming that takes 1, 2, sometimes 3 years. And the more pixles used the more money it takes so they have to have high prices...

Yes, but not as much, and there's a better chance they wouldn't get a profit, so they need a higher price. 400$ is a little much though, so Sony better pray for die hard followers, in which that category is as follows: Nintendo, then Microsoft, then Sony.

Though Microsoft's X-Box 360 lacks strength, still it is a reasonable price compared to PS3, and as usual, Nintendo's next gen system will be the most affordable and fun, bringing an all new gaming experience to everyone, I think this year it'll be the #1 selling system, the price is a great advantage, with their price, almost everyone that wants it could get it, and there are millions of Nintendo fans across the world, lots of homes will have the Nintendo Wii in it's game room.

I'll also add to your post: Microsoft's Xbox 360, crashed. Completly. It's buggy, messed up, and not worth it.

So the PS3 is over priced, and X-Box 360 crashes, has bugs in it ( not literally ) and it messes up, so I have to say, again, Nintendo is in the best shape for having the most successful launch, and beyond.

It was 399.99!

I definitely don't think that that is a very good price for a Microsoft video game console, they don't put nearly enough into it to put such a high price on it and sell it any good, so they're just flat out going to be dead last, and I feel fairly sure PlayStation 3 will be second, and Nintendo in 1st.

Yeah, the ps3 looks pretty sweet... but not as good as the Wii (I hate that name >_<") what the Wii lacks in raw power, it makes up for in an advanced control system, creativity, and low pricing. The PS3 may lack all the Wii's strong points, but it has a very powerful hard drive, meaning the best graphics of the round, and a very good control system. (Not as good as the Wii though...)

Yes, and I like the look of the Nintendo Wii, it's a pretty fresh look, I know the look doesn't make too much of a difference, but I'd care if the system looked ridiculous, but it doesn't.
And power wise, the Wii can make Super Smash Bros. Brawl look so cool and smooth, and not as blocky, but when actually playing SSBB, there might be a few pointy edges on a few characters possibly.

Most likely... the Wii won't be perfect, far from it actually. Most edges will be smoothed over, but many will definitely remain...

I have a feeling Nintendo is going to surprise us. The Difference between SSBM and SSBB Is Indeed Very Noticeable. But we've only seen One Vid of it and a few pictures. the game isn't even done yet. Plus look at other Wii Games Such as Mario Galaxy and Red Steel.

Yeah, Mario Galaxy looks pretty good, but it looks like it might be like Super Mario Sunshine, only in outer space, and without Fludd. But that's just me, I am probably way off.

I don't know, I was just guessing something wildly, just judging (probably poorly) by the pictures I have seen, and the bit I saw of it from E3.

Yes, the ps3 is using allot of top-of-the-line lasers, and hard drive, so the price would expectantly rise. However, there is a point when you have to cut back. Personally, if the Wii was $400-$500 bucks, I wouldn't buy it...
