what do you think about the new attack system, with attacks like fire punch becoming physical and hyper beam becoming special? do you think any its broken? do you think it will make the game worse? do you think it will become a huge achievment?
I think its fantastic, now physical pokemon like Rhydon can use elemental attacks that auctually deal damage. also.. it will give dragonite something that only him and rayquaza has.. a very good move combination... Dragon Danced, 120 (plus STAB: 180) damage, 100 accuracy, physical outrage... now whats better, that stupid dragonite rip off salamence or dragonite?

There are substitutes for Hyper Beam, not only as a general move (Giga Attack) but also as a species-specific move. Some Pokémon that relied on Hyper Beam as the destructive powerful Physical-based move it was have now other Physical-based moves.
Overall I think it's good, because it gives a little more sense to the game and the whole Pokémon universe. There is stuff in Pokémon media that will always remain stigmatized by the past rules; I'm talking especially about the animé past episodes. Just a few weeks ago I was watching a Johto episode in which a Reflect move wasn't able to block a Vine Whip. Why? Because it was still considered Special-based.

who uses hyper beam? only noobs use hyper beam, some attacks can be strong enough with STAB and that 1 move delay is worth alot. yeah, sometimes the anime can get really weird and screw alot of rules up. its confusing sometimes. i hate it how they rushed through and left out kabutops without a major episode, kabutops is awsome.

Wobbuffet will be less cheap now, don't you agree? Now a Grass-type Pokémon like Meganium won't be as predictable as before, since it could be using either Razor Leaf or Giga Drain for example.

yeah... wobbafet wont be as good a little... i dunno why any pokemon would use razor leaf though, although its meganiums strongest physical grass move.. dealing 55 damage... they boosted up the fire pokemon though, alot of them can now use solar beam and typhlosion can use more moves, primarily eruption. they boosted the 2nd gen starters. i think that was an awsome idea.

A few months ago, some people and I were discussing about whether double-typed moves should be possible. I voted no, since all it would do was to multiply by many times the minimum or maximum damage a move would deal to a Pokémon.
Still, we came up with examples of which moves could be considered double-typed if anything. The elemental punches came to our minds. Ice Punch could be considered Ice/Fighting in a sense. Same with Blaze Kick (Fire/Fighting). This change to the battle system gives more realism to those moves without falling in the need to give them more than one type.

lol, can you imagine a pikachu's iron tail overpowering a steelix's iron tail? that would be the stupidist thing ever. i mean iron tail is steelix's most signature move, it only has a tail and its made of iron. pikachu is a stupid rat with a bolt shaped tail made of flesh.

I like it...and it makes pikachu even worse...since the sacred Volt Tackle is now Physical XD Pikachu has also been given new Special-based moves, genius. Back to the animé thing, there is also stuff that will ironically be more accurate than before. I remember having seen Jessie ordering Wobbuffet to Counter a Vine Whip from Ash's Chikorita. It was countered! Either the Spanish dub was bad, or it actually happened. The only episode where I'm sure they emphasized about the Physical/Special differences between Mirror Coat and Counter was the one where Duplica showed her second Ditto, Mini-Dit.
