Hello, everyone. As some of you may or may not have already read, I've discontinued the writing of my old fan fic, The Spirit of the Blue Flame, yes, I didn't find that it got enough attention to be putting the time I was putting into it that I was any longer...
So, instead, I'm starting anew, with a new fan fic, with a new name, yet some similarities to the old one, but the direction it is heading is not quite the same, you'll see.
Just know that it will be just a little ways in until getting right into everything Pokémon. So without further delay, I present to you, Pokémon Legends!

January 1st, 11:04 AM, 2010.
New Year's Day morning, start of a fresh year, Eric wakes up to the warm, sunny day, with a big yawn and a stretch.
"Ah, feels good to get a full rest, and it's a beautiful warm and sunny day, as always." Eric said. He then proceeded to make his bed, then go downstairs to have some breakfast.
January 1st, 11:27 AM, 2010.
Just a little later that morning, Crystal woke up, to a new year, the start of a year that would be like no other before it. She headed straight for the kitchen, after a long night's sleep.
"Oh. Good morning, Eric. Happy New Year!" Crystal said, as she gave him a hug.
"Hi. Happy New Year!" He said. "Were you able to rest well?"
"Yep." She replied. "How about you, were you able to sleep well?"
"Yeah, got up about 5 minutes after 11." He replied.
"You've been up for less than half an hour and are already playing Brawl? Guess I shouldn't be surprised, I probably would do the same thing. Have you eaten yet?" She asked, as she started toasting some bread.
"Of course, I may really enjoy Brawl, but I'm not going to starve myself over it." He responded, calmly.
"My thoughts exactly. As far as that goes anyways, wouldn't it be easier to play Brawl better without your stomach begging you to eat the whole time?" She asked, with a grin.
"Yeah, I actually found that out by experience." He replied, and they both laughed. They then proceeded to play Brawl, after Crystal finished her breakfast.
January 1st, 11:59 PM, 2010.
"Well, at this time last night, we were ringing in the new year! So have you had a nice first day of the year, Crystal?" Eric asked.
"Yes, it's been nice, and I enjoyed playing Brawl with you earlier, as always. You're so good at it, it's no wonder you can beat so many people around the world." She replied.
"Thank you, it's good of you to say that, you aren't bad yourself, we have close matches, believably enough though I guess, we both play it like crazy!"
"True, just because it's so fun. Eric, when is the next big Brawl tournament coming up?"
"Very soon, actually. January 7th, I believe, and I think I might have a chance at taking a run at coming up on top for the prize money!" He replied happily.
"I wouldn't expect any less from you, you have confidence in yourself , maybe sometimes a little too confident...you're very successful at what you do, so I, too, am confident that you will be victorious in this upcoming tournament, I will be wishing you the best of luck, cheering you on."
"Thanks, Crystal, I appreciate that, I can use all the support I can get, I'm nervous about it, but I should be used to it by know, I live off of the prize money from these tournaments, fortunately I'm good enough to count on at least some more money from most of the Brawl tournaments."
"Yep, you win quite often, and you can't really afford to go too many tournaments straight without placing high enough to be getting significant money."
"Yeah, I am very aware of that, but it's pretty darn great playing Brawl for a living."
"Yes, just fit some time in for other things too though, okay? It's a ton 'o fun, but it isn't something to be doing 24/7, it's something you can enjoy doing for hours a day, tops. Less than all hours a day would be ideal, we should actually do some things together more often."
"I know...I've been playing it an awful lot, but I will still need to play it some to keep myself at a good skill level for competing in tournaments."
"Well, of course. I'm not saying to not play it, just try set some time for other things too, life isn't all about Brawl, it's just a fun pass time. You remember those times when we were hiking, and those caves we traveled through? Those were good times."
"Yeah, I remember fondly, I love adventuring around, hiking is fun, but most of all I have a blast exploring around in caves and such, that underwater cave was my favourite one, very inaccessible though, we didn't end up going through when we first saw the tunnel at the bottom of the lake, it looked to go too deep before there was any place to get air."
"That was my favourite as well, when we saw it at first, we had already been under the water for about a minute without coming up for a breath of air, so we had to come up to catch our breath, then we dove back down under the water and headed straight in not wasting a moment of breath we'd taken in before diving down, and we just made it in far enough to reach the water's surface and catch our breath, I remember we were gasping for air pretty good right then, afraid we might pass out."
"Yeah, I'm sure glad it wasn't any deeper before we were able to reach where we could come up for air. Hey, you know, we had trouble holding our breath for that long then, but that was years ago, we were younger then, we can hold our breath significantly longer now since we've made a point of it since then, so for old times sake, why don't we go back there tomorrow?"
"I'm up for it, that's a great idea! Okay, then let's get to bed and get rested up to do that tomorrow! I'm looking forward to it, I wonder if it's changed at all throughout the years that passed since we first entered it, guess we'll be finding out very soon, together."
"Yes, tomorrow we shall enter the underwater cave together. We'd best go prepared, we can't know if and how it may have changed over the years, I've thought of possibilities, and for all we know, we may have to get even deeper in before we are out of the water and can breathe again, that may not necessarily be the case, but we should account for it, and be prepared to hold our breath as long or longer than the first time, okay? Better safe than sorry."
"Agreed. I could understand how water could raise up in the cave and go deeper into it, but hopefully not too much deeper, if at all. I'm sure glad the water is always warm here, since it's winter, if it were almost anywhere else, it'd be freezing cold, probably froze over."
"Yeah, we're fortunate that we're somewhere where the weather is always so nice, and the water is so warm, it doesn't take your breath away like colder water would."
"Yep, perfect place for an underwater cave."
"Well I guess we'd best be getting some rest before we head out tomorrow morning, so with that being said, see ya in the morning, Crystal. We'll just get up, have breakfast, and get ready to go, then head off. How does that sound?"
"Good by me! It's simple, just the way I like it!" She laughs. "Let's both get a good night's sleep and have a great day tomorrow!"
"Alright, you have a good rest, Crystal, and I'll see you in the morning. Good night."
He then proceeded up the stairs to his room, as Crystal headed to hers, and this concludes Pokémon Legends, Prologue.

So there you have it, the prologue...I hope you were able to enjoy it, and that you will look forward to Chapter 1: The mysterious man of the underwater cave.
And now, I present to you, Pokémon Legends, Chapter 1.

Pokémon Legends. Chapter 1: The mysterious man of the underwater cave.
__________________________________________________
January 2nd: 11:20 AM, 2010.
Eric awoke to a warm, but rainy morning. After having breakfast, he woke up Crystal and told her he was ready to go, and for her to get ready to go, to the underwater cave.
"Are you ready to go yet, Crystal? It's almost noon now." Eric asked.
"Yes. I know you are anxious to get going, but you were already ready to go when you when you woke me, I had to get ready, you do remember we're going to be going underwater, don't you?" she replied.
"Obviously. Why would I be geared up like this if I weren't intending to be diving underwater?"
"Right, you look ready to go, and so am I, so we might as well get going, might not have hurt to have maybe got up an hour sooner, you know, diving underwater and not returning to the surface for some time would draw attention, we don't want to make anyone worry. But I'm sure it'll be fine, let's be off."
And so the two of them, went off through the heavy rain, then into the underwater cave.
January 2nd, 12:55, 2010.
"The water...went much...deeper...than it did...the first time...we came here..." Eric said, as he gasped for air from holding his breath while swimming underwater for a full two minutes.
"Yeah. I wonder...why it is...so much deeper..." she said, as she also was gasping for air, but not quite as badly as Eric, as she can hold her breath slightly longer.
After catching his breath, Eric replied "I don't know for sure, but it could have something to do with all the rain." They then continued on further into the familiar cave. As they were reaching the end of it, they saw a mysterious looking man in the distance, they approached the man cautiously.
"Who's there? Are you one of them?" the man asked, in a threatening tone.
"Huh? Wait a second, who are 'one of them'?" Eric replied.
"The vile people who had been chasing me for a long time. So, you're not one of them?"
"Absolutely not! People have been chasing you?" Eric asked, looking concerned.
"Sadly, yes. Who's the young lady beside you? I'm guessing she mustn't be one of them either?"
"Right, this is my sister, Crystal."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Crystal, what is your name, if I may ask?"
"Hm, okay, I trust you two don't mean me any harm... My name, is Jack." he replied, reluctantly.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jack." Crystal greeted.
"It is a pleasure to meet you too, Crystal. It's good to see another living being again, and friendly as well, I've been living down here for quite a while now..." Jack said, sadly.
"But why?" Eric asked.
"Remember what I said just a minute ago when you two just met me?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, you said 'Are you one of them?', then when I asked what you meant by that, you responded saying 'The vile people who had been chasing me for a long time.'."
"Yes. Think about it for a second...can you understand why I have been living in Lakebed Cave?"
"Lakebed Cave...? So that's what this cave is called. Anyways, well, after thinking about it, I can only think of one thing, and that is that the 'vile' people chased you into this cave. Is that it?"
"Well, yes, and no. Yes, it is because of those vile people that I have been forced to live in this cave. But no, they did not actually chase me into the cave, it was after putting up with them for a few months, that I decided, one day, about a year ago, that I would slip away into this cave when no one was looking, bringing only two things with me, that collectible sword, in case I should ever need to defend myself, and either way, I can display it here in the deepest part of Lakebed Cave, the part of the cave I spend most of my time, and the other thing I brought, is that machine, the real reason that I'm here..."
"You've been living here for a year!? How do you survive?" Eric replied, with a shocked expression.
"Well, as you can see, this cave is covered in ice, from the ground to the ceiling, and there is a soft glow from the ice that illuminates the cave, so visibility isn't a problem. Anyways, for food and drink, I eat chunks of ice off of the icicles, and drink from the water that melts from them, I know it can't be the healthiest, but I don't have any other choice." Jack replied.
"You have Ice for food and nothing but water for drinking? That's awful. But I am fascinated by the soft glow the ice gives off, it's very interesting, I wonder what causes it to do that." Crystal said, as she stared at the icy cave walls.
"I'm sure if anybody knew, I would, since I've actually lived here for 12 months, but what causes this ice to glow like that has always eluded me..." he replied.
"Well, that's certainly neat." He then examined the machine Jack brought with him. "This machine...is the real reason you're here? So, then you're saying that machine is the reason people were chasing you? Why? What does it do?" Eric asked, curiously.
"It's a long story...allow me to explain, you are willing to listen, right?" he asked.
"Yes, we're listening."
"Okay. Well, first of all, none of this would have ever happened, if it weren't for the interest I'd taken in Pokémon, since I was 12 years old, though I don't regret it at all."
"Really? So this all has to do with Pokémon? Well, the both of us happen to like Pokémon a lot ourselves." Eric responded, interest peaked by Jack's words.
"Is that so? Then what I am about to tell you will be of much interest to you. About this machine, well, what it does is pretty big, but it is also quite unbelievable..." he replied.
"Go on, I'm listening."
"Well, something you will find as quite a shock, is that I have a remarkably high IQ. My IQ, is 320...and that is the honest to god truth, I've taken many accurate IQ tests over time, and it all averages out to that number, so with my mind, I can do things no one else can, I can figure how to make something no one else could make, and that is what this machine is."
"Amazing. An IQ of over 300, and a machine that no one else could figure out how to create, I'm itching to know what it does! And though this seems too incredible to actually be true, I believe you, you do seem very sharp, especially for someone who has lived in a cave by yourself for the past year." Eric replied.
"Thank you, for believing me, I am telling you only the truth, as hard to believe as it may be, I know. Now I am about to get into what this machine actually does."
"Finally! Please, continue." Eric responded, anxiously.
"You seem to have been greatly anticipating this, maybe you have an idea of what it does now? But I ask you not to answer that question yet, but hear me out and let me tell you what it is rather than you possibly telling me what I've created, I think that would be best, I hope you understand." Jack answered.
"I understand, please proceed."
"Okay, then. Since I was 20, I pondered of a way to get to the world Pokémon, if it were possible, and thought that if any one could think of a way, I maybe could. Not meaning to brag, but you know, my IQ is unheard of. For several years, I tried to think of a way, some way to reach the world of Pokémon, and failed to get anywhere, but 4 years and 3 months ago, in October of 2005, I had started piecing together something that I had finally figured would, in it's end result, effectively serve this purpose. After 3 full years, it was finished, and it should work perfectly as I desired it to."
"Whoa! That thing can send people to the world of Pokémon!?" both Eric and Crystal replied, blown away at the news of the machine's function.
"Yes, and that may sound great to you two, but when people asked me what it does, they would think I was crazy! They would tell me to lose the machine, it's a useless piece of junk..." he replied.
"Well, that isn't very nice of them, but is that all? There must be more, if there isn't, I'm sorry, but moving to living in a cave just over a few words now and then seems a bit...extreme." Eric said.
"I agree, that would be unnecessary, but it didn't stop there. On several occasions, people would surround me, then all at once attack at me, while saying things like 'There's enough crazy people in the world without you!', it hurt me both physically and mentally, but every time this happened, it never lasted long, because beforehand, when they start gathering around me, of course, it looks very suspicious, and once they come rushing at me it draws a lot of attention, and soon gets broke up." he replied.
"Wow...that's horrible...and on several occasions this happened, over the course of just 3 months? So this happened quite frequently, then...?" Eric said, concerned.
"Unfortunately, yes...I became infamous over a machine! It's so frustrating! I finally achieve my greatest goal, then it's 24/7 torment from a bunch of people for the next 3 months, and it would've went on forever, if I never escaped from it...it was absolute chaos." he replied.
"I don't blame you at all for doing what you did, living among the people, when the people want to harm you, is living a life of fear, you really did have no choice..."
"Yes...compared to that, this place is paradise. At least this place is pretty, and I've come to learn a lot about the place, I know that sometimes when it rains really hard outside, the moisture from the water that enters the ground seeps down into the icicles, as well as forming more icicles, at the ceiling of this cave, and that water may drop to the cold ground of this cave then freeze, turning to ice, making the ground more slippery to walk on, I'd watch your step, it's raining quite heavily outside today."
"Yeah, it is, got us drenched in a hurry, but of course being on our way here we weren't bothered at all by it, knowing we'd be going underwater anyways."
"Just wondering, what brought you here in the first place, anyways?" Jack asked.
"Eric and I had came here once before when we discovered it some 6 years ago, we decided to come back here, for old times sake, to relive the moment, and also curious to see if it had changed at all over the years, and were we surprised to see someone at the end of it, and then to find out that you've been living here for the past year." she said.
"I can imagine...what I couldn't have ever imagined is that I'd end up living in the cave of ice that Lakebed Cave is, but it beats the life I had to be living up there in the last few months I was up there." Then he sighed, and said "It's been so long since I've seen the light of day, or the moon of the night, no sunsets, no sunrises, life gets very
repetitive here, but I've grown used to it, I've certainly had enough time to." he said.
"Okay, since I know what this machine does now, I'd like to ask you something." Eric said.
"Well, knowing that you already know what it does, and still want to ask a question about it, the only thing I could think of you wanting to ask about it is if you have my permission to use it. Is that what you were going to ask me?" he responded.
"Yes, that, and I'm wondering why in all the 15 months that you've had that thing finished, that you didn't use it. Any particular reason, or it just didn't feel right?"
"No, it wasn't that, I have kept myself from using it all this time because, since I went through so much trouble to make the machine, to make going to the world of Pokémon possible, I didn't want to do it all for myself, but for months no one ever approached me without bad intentions, liking trying to attack me, calling me crazy, or just
simply demanding that I ditch the machine."
"So you've been wanting to take someone else to the world of Pokémon before you used it yourself, but no one has ever in all this time come to you, believed you, and
desired to use it?" Eric asked.
"That would be correct...but finally, you two came along, here of all places, I thought no one would ever make it through that underwater tunnel, certainly no underwater ship could possibly fit through it, someone would have to be able to swim quite well and hold their breath for a good while to make it through there."
"Yeah, we could hardly breathe when we reached the surface of the the water, we had to hold our breath for a good two minutes, it seemed to be going so deep."
"Well, this might not have been the best conditions for coming here in, the water flows deeper in the harder it rains, and it's raining hard outside right now..." Jack said.
"Yeah, we were already set on coming since last night, but I was a bit disappointed to see it raining heavily outside." Eric replied. "So, you've been waiting for someone to come along to take to the world of Pokémon using that machine, so could we have your permission to use the machine?"
"Seeing as you're the first people to come here, in the full 15 months I've been here, and that you would very much like to enter the world of Pokémon, of course. But, could I ask of you one small favor, first?" Jack asked.
"Of course! We owe you big for this, so tell us what it is you would have us do for you, Jack." Eric replied.
"It really is quite simple, I would just like to celebrate this occasion before we use this machine to get to the world of Pokémon, so all I want you two to do is head back up, get a pizza for dinner, preferably with extra cheese, pepperoni, and bacon for the toppings, and a cake for desert, any cake will do, but my favourite is black forest cake, and finally, I'd like you to share it all with me. I'm just dying to taste real food again, could you do this for me?"
"Certainly! Just one question, when we're swimming back here with the pizza and cake, how do we keep it dry" Eric asked.
"I have the solution for that, just cover them so it doesn't make a mess, and put them in this waterproof bag that I used to bring the machine down here in." he replied.
"That's waterproof? Great! Then there shouldn't be any problem, just hope we can get a hold of a black forest cake for you."
"Thank you very much, both of you, I really appreciate it."
"It's no problem at all, and thank you for giving us permission to use that machine afterwards." Eric replied. "Oh, and that reminds me, you said before 'we' use this machine, are you going to finally be using it then, too?"
"Yes, just like the two of you, I'll be departing from this world, to that of the world of Pokémon. You've played at least one of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, haven't you?" Jack asked.
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"Well, the Pokémon world this machine will take us to, is like the one that is represented in those games, the second ones in particular." Jack replied.
"Seriously!? Not the one with Pokémon Trainers or gyms?" Eric asked, excited.
"Yes, that one, as I'm sure you know no humans inhabit that world, should someone enter that world, they become a Pokémon themself."
"No kidding!? Sweet! So we're all going to become Pokémon!?"
"Yeah, I'm nervous about what it will be like, how it will feel, but I'm sure we'll adapt. Even though it was in a video game, the human that became a Pokémon seemed to adjust to it quite well, although if one were to suddenly become a more unusual Pokémon, it may take more time to get used to everything."
"Yeah. I guess there's no telling what Pokémon we'll become?"
"Actually, it isn't completely random, certain things about the person that uses this machine will influence what they become, things like what Pokémon you care most about, as in the Pokémon that it makes you most upset to see something bad happen to, or that you most like something good to happen to, etc. But! I strongly suggest that you do NOT mention what your favourite Pokémon is, at all, to anyone, not even yourself, you must feel it, but don't show it, don't even hint about it."
"It's that important? Wow, this is so exciting! I know in my heart the Pokémon I care about more than any other, but yes, I shall not tell anyone what it is." Eric replied with glee.
"But you must realize this only strongly influences the transformation, it doesn't guarantee what you will be come, but gives it a very high probability, so believe in yourself, and do good to others, and I'm sure things will work out for you, Eric, and Crystal as well, both of you believe in yourselves, and have faith." Jack said.
"We will!" Eric replied. "Right Crystal?"
"Absolutely!" Crystal replied, happily.
"Good, I trust that you will both keep to your word, for your own sakes. Now, I've kept you both for quite a while, you two should be heading back for now, get home, relax, rest up, and get ready to return here and then enter into the world of Pokémon! Of course, assuming that you have no problem getting the pizza and cake tomorrow." Jack replied, with a little laugh.
"I'm sure we won't have to wait for days to get that pizza and black forest cake, and as long as we do, we'll be back tomorrow, with the food of celebration!" Eric replied with a
smile.
"Thank you, so I'll see you two tomorrow, and after we have a delicious meal, we'll depart for the real world of Pokémon! So until then, good bye!"
"See you tomorrow. Bye!" said both Eric and Crystal, as they departed for home.
January 3rd, 11:15, 2010.
Eric and Crystal both woke up, and out of anticipation got ready and headed straight out the door to get the pizza and cake without even having any breakfast, and they were able to get both without any problems. Being very pleased with how well everything went, they put the pizza and cake in bags, and stuffed it into the waterproof case that was lent to them, and they headed back for Lakebed Cave, excited.
"We're back." said Eric and Crystal, as they reached the end of the cave and saw Jack.
"We got the pizza just like you wanted!" Eric said.
"And a delicious Black Forest Cake!" Crystal said.
"Wonderful! Now we can have our celebration dinner and desert!" Jack replied.
"Yes! I'm so excited! No...we're so excited!" Eric replied, then slipped on the icy ground and fell.
"Whoa. Are you alright, Eric?" Crystal asked, looking concerned.
"Yeah, I've never been better!" he replied, as he got up and shook it off.
"Phew, that's a relief..." she replied.
"Now that we're all together, shall we partake of some pizza, everyone?"
"Yeah!" replied Eric and Crystal happily, both hungry from skipping breakfast to fit having the pizza and cake.
"Then without further ado, let's eat!" said Jack, with a big smile.
They ate the entire pizza, then the black forest cake, and were full after the very satisfying and delicious meal.
"That was unbelievably good!" they all replied, then let out a big burp, followed shortly after by laughter.
"Man, that was some delicious! Great last meal to have before going to the world of Pokémon, which I can not wait to do!" Eric said, with great anticipation.
"Indeed, that was an excellent meal, one like I haven't had in a long time. Now, down to the big moment, the moment all of our dreams will come true!"
"Oh! Finally! The machine will finally be made use of, to make our dreams, our lives!" Eric replied.
"I know this probably should go without saying, but we won't ever be getting back here when we go, there will be no turning back, for better or worse, this is it, to do this, is to commit to living an entirely different life, chock full of surprises. Are you both really ready for this?"
"Yes, we are ready!" answered both Eric and Crystal, while focusing on the machine.
"And I am ready." replied Jack. "But only one at a time can go, first, you will go, Eric, then Crystal, then finally, I will go, once both of you have went."
"Okay, sounds good. Last one in is a rotten egg, sorry Jack." Eric said, with a chuckle.
"Let's hope not." he replied. "And I know this is very exciting to know we're going to be going to the world of Pokémon in a mere moment, but we should take this very seriously too, sure it will be really cool, but it isn't all going to be just fun and games, every place has it troubles, everyone has some problem or another, when sometimes they don't even notice it, and there are always those who are bent on dragging the world into darkness, there is almost always a threat to that world of Pokémon becoming paralyzed..."
"Are you indicating that the world of Pokémon we are about to enter is just like the one in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and Darkness, and that the events in those games maybe even actually happened there, and weren't just dreamed up by game developers?"
"Yes, it would seem that way. They take things from what happens there and get rich off of it from making video games of it here. But what I don't get is how on earth they find out what goes on in the world of Pokémon, it is beyond even me, so I can't imagine how they manage doing so. And don't be fooled, while they make fun games, they are actually just a large group of greedy money grubbing people out to get rich off of other people's money, so in a sense, thieves, but the people are more than willing to pay up for their games, and while I say this, I admit, I've gotten both Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Darkness...more than just for fun, also to learn."
"I see, I understand what you are saying. Yes, it seems like anything anyone ever does is just to get money out of it, not so much to please anyone, but to rake in the cash."
"Yeah, that's what has become of the people, it's sad, but we'll be leaving them behind soon, it'll be their problem alone. Now, Eric, go over to the machine now, it's time to go."
"Gladly." Eric replied.
"Okay, then I'll just set it up to send you to the world of Pokémon...that should do it...and off you go, be careful, stay alert, and watch your back, and when possible, it wouldn't hurt to use teamwork to have Crystal watch your back as you watch hers, if you're going to be doing any exploring, which it'd be much more boring if you didn't, so it's just a matter of time before you start off on numerous adventures. Farewell, I will follow you shortly after, once Crystal has gone after you, so I should see you soon." Jack said. Then Eric vanished, gone to the world of Pokémon.
"That's that? Just like that he's entered the world of Pokémon? This is as easy as making a peanut butter sandwich!" Crystal replied, happily.
"Yes, it is quite straight forward, and is very fast, in a moment, everything around you should be all new, and exciting. Well, it's your turn next then, I must ask you to please step over to the machine."
"With pleasure." Crystal answered.
"Well, this is it, you're off to the world of Pokémon, a fun and wondrous, yet unpredictable world, I suggest you watch yourself there, while there are many good Pokémon there, you know there are many that are bad as well. Watch out for them, and should you go exploring, as I'm sure you will sooner or later, always go prepared, never underestimate your opponent, it is the downfall of many great warriors, they get so confident in themselves that they think they're unbeatable, then one day they encounter a really tough foe and get overwhelmed, taking for granted that beating it would be a piece of cake. Farewell." then Crystal vanished, leaving Jack to himself.
"Well, I'm the only one left..." then he paused, then finally realized something important. "NO! How could I not have realized this sooner!? ...I wish I could've told at least one of them this before it was too late, this machine, while one thing is for certain, is that it does indeed take those who use it to the world of Pokémon, but where, is not specified. So Eric and Crystal will most certainly appear in two different places, and be separated, as I am sure I will be somewhere different than either of them, too..." Jack said, saddened.
"I can only hope they can make it on their own for a while until they reach each other again, that is, if they recognize each other. Hopefully they will find each other's whereabouts by word of mouth, then all the sooner get back together, and see each other for the first time as Pokémon, I wonder how they'll take that. Well, time to go." he said, as he headed to the machine, then activated it, and vanished.
They've all successfully been sent to the world of Pokémon via the machine Jack worked at for years to create, but, where in the world did it send them, and what Pokémon did they become? Find out in Chapter 2: The world of Pokémon, as this concludes Chapter 1: The mysterious man of the underwater cave.

Chapter 2: The world of Pokémon.
__________________________________________________
Eric, who had been the first of the three to go to the world of Pokémon, had appeared washed up, unconscious, just outside of the entrance to Beach Cave, and was eventually found by Pikachu, who comes there regularly, to enjoy the view of the bubbles blown from the Krabby in the area, as the sun sets. This wasn't even the first time Pikachu had went there, and see that a Pokémon washed up on the beach, unconscious. In the past, this also happened, then it was a Charmander, it became Pikachu's best friend, but it lost it's memory. Eric, on the other hand, his memory remained.
"What's that over there?" Pikachu said, as it approached closer to see it better. "Oh no! A Pokémon has collapsed. I hope it's okay, it appears to be unconscious." it said, looking worried. "This Pokémon, it couldn't be..."
"..." Eric started to come to, after being washed up from a ways off.
"Oh? It appears to be coming to. Are you alright?" Pikachu asked, concerned for the Pokémon's health.
Eric looked around, slowly, observing the surroundings, trying to identify where he is, then answered "I'm okay, thank you for your concern, I feel fine..." But really, he was quite tired out. "That cave to the left...is that the entrance to Beach Cave?" he asked, to help confirm his current location, since his vision was slightly blurry, and was unsure.
"Yes, that's Beach Cave, and Treasure Town is very close by. I'm Pikachu, what is your name?" he asked.
"I'm Eric, glad to meet you." Eric replied.
"Are you new to this place?" Pikachu asked.
"Yes, this is my first time here." he said, then realized his sister was nowhere to be seen, then asked about her, "Have you seen a Pokémon nearby recently that has never been here before, that goes by the name of Crystal?"
"Nope. Why do you ask?" Pikachu asked, curiously.
"It's my sister, Crystal. I thought she'd be here, too...I don't know why she isn't here, we came together..." he replied, disappointed.
"I'm not sure I completely understand what's going on, would you not mind explaining to me?" Pikachu said, looking a bit confused.
"It's a long story, and I can't think of a short version for it, so I'll explain it all to you." Eric replied. He continued on to explain everything that's happened leading to this.
"So, you came from another world, where humans exist, but no Pokémon? That's sad. I can't even imagine what a world without Pokémon would be like." Pikachu replied.
"Well, yes, I can imagine the two worlds are very different, that's why I think that it will take me a while to get used to all the changes."
"You remember that once you were sent here by that machine, that you were turned into a Pokémon when you got here, don't you?"
"Uh, this may sound kind of dumb, but I guess it kinda slipped my mind after coming to from being unconscious..." Eric said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
After being reminded of his change, he looked at himself to see what Pokémon he'd turned into, and was in for a big surprise. "Oh this can't be real..."
"What is it, Eric? Are you surprised? disappointed?" Pikachu said, wondering whether his reaction was positive or negative.
"Yes, I am surprised about what I have become, but no, I am not at all disappointed! It's just...hard to believe." he replied.
"Yeah, it is, I'm thinking I'm imagining you're some Pokémon other than what you are, please tell me what Pokémon you are, so I know whether or not I am seeing things."
"I've become a legendary Pokémon...I am a Latios!" Eric replied, happily. But then he wondered what could have become of his sister, where she is, what Pokémon she has become, and most of all, if she is okay.
"Wait a sec, what's wrong? One moment you were really happy, then you pause, then a moment later. you suddenly seemed to become really worried about something." Pikachu said. Then after thinking about what it could be about he realized "It's about your sister, isn't it?"
"Yes...and now that I'm in the Pokémon world, she is the only family I have, I don't know what I'd do if anything ever happened to her, we never have been separated like this, she's never been alone like this, and neither have I..." Eric replied, sadly, looking off into the sunset.
"I understand how you feel, my best friend which I have had many adventures with, and overcome many hardships with, had once left me, and several months past without him, I could never stop thinking about him, then finally, after those several months, he finally returned, and that was the happiest day of my life, while the months he was gone were the saddest of my life, it was such a long time..."
After hearing this, Eric sighed. "I sure hope I don't have to go that long without seeing my sister, I am very close with her, I can not rest easy knowing she's by herself somewhere, and I don't even know where, for all I know, she could already be in danger, though I don't think she'd have been here long enough to get very far, seeing as I sure haven't..."
"Don't worry, I'm going to do my best to help you to find your sister any way I can, though not even knowing what Pokémon we're looking for will complicate things considerably..." Pikachu said. "Let's think about this, so, there was something you said about when using the machine you both used to come here, you said that the Pokémon that the person who uses it becomes is strongly influenced by the Pokémon the person cares most about? So, it ended up being the case for you, what is your sister's favourite Pokémon?"
Upon hearing this, Eric just realized something. "Our favourite Pokémon are Latios, and Latias. Latios is my favourite, Latias is hers. Could it be, that she is a Latias herself!?"
"From what I've been hearing from you, it seems quite likely. Well, then if that's the case, we wouldn't really have to worry about getting her mixed up with some other Pokémon of the same species, since there aren't many of any species of a legendary Pokémon."
"So that should speed up the process of locating Crystal, good." Eric said, relieved. "Until I know where she is, and that she is okay, I just won't be able to rest easy..."
"We'll find her soon, don't worry, okay? Well, I assume you don't have anywhere to stay, so if you'd like, you can stay with me at my place at Sharpedo Bluff."
"Thank you, I would like that, and yes, I don't really have anywhere to stay (but I can't help but worry about my sister's safety...)." then they headed off to Sharpedo Bluff.
Meanwhile, a little ways off, near the Hot Spring, Crystal arrived at the location with no problems, not unconscious, not tired, but full of energy.
"The sky is pretty, and the air is so refreshing!" Crystal said, as she looked all around, taking everything in. "This place looks familiar, the Hot Spring should be nearby, Eric came just before me, he should be here, maybe he's already up in the Hot Spring."
Then she started to head in it's direction, until she was reminded that she became a Pokémon, when she noticed her hand, then she looked at the rest of her body. "Latias?! I'm a Latias!" Crystal said with glee. "Wow, I never imagined I'd be a legendary Pokémon, I wonder what Pokémon Eric is. I'm Latias, could it be that, my brother, may be Latios? If Eric is at the Hot Spring, which he should be, then I guess I'll find out for myself soon!"
She continued on towards the Hot Spring's direction, and when she arrived, only a wise old Torkoal was there, Eric was nowhere to be seen.
"...He isn't here?" she said, disappointed, and surprised. Though her words didn't go unheard, the Torkoal there heard them, then asked her
"Who isn't here? Were you going to meet someone here?" he asked.
"Yeah, my brother, Eric." she replied. "I thought he would be here...have you met him, was he here?" she asked.
"No, no one by the name of Eric ever came here." he replied. "You look to me like you are a Latias, but at my age I can never be too sure my eyes aren't playing tricks on me."
"Yes, I am a Latias, my name is Crystal, what's your's?" she greeted.
"Torkoal. Good to meet you, it's a great pleasure to meet a legendary Pokémon." he replied.
"And it's a pleasure to meet you, Torkoal." she said, happily.
"If you are a Latias, and came to meet your brother here, then your brother must be Latios, correct?" he asked.
"Well, the thought occurred to me..." she replied.
"What do you mean by that, Crystal?" he said.
"Well, it's a long story..." then she continued on to explain to him all that happened leading up to now.
"Interesting, you came from another world, and turned into a Pokémon at random, but the machine that sent you here is strongly influenced by what Pokémon the user cares most about, and you care most about Latias, and what did you become? A Latias." he replied. "While I understand your response to me asking you that your brother must be a Latios, I have to say, I don't believe there's much doubt at all that if you became the Pokémon you care about the most, then the same most certainly happened to your brother."
"You have a point, I became a Latias, and Eric is probably out there somewhere as a Latios, but if he isn't here, where could he be?" she said, wondering.
"Well, I would guess the machine simply sent you both to two different places, the machine may not necessarily be set to any particular part of this world, but of course I have no way of knowing this, this is just what I think of what may have happened here." he replied.
"So you're saying that my brother may be really far away...?" she said, saddened.
"But we don't know that, he could be near or far, how far away he is we don't know...yet!" he said, as he came up with an idea.
"Oh? What is it, have you come up with an idea of where he may be?" Crystal said, anxiously.
"Not quite, but I thought of a way you might be able to find out where he is; communicate with him." he replied.
"Communicate with him? How am I supposed to do that?" she replied, a bit confused.
"You know Latios and Latias can communicate with each other through telepathy, don't you, Crystal?" he said. "If your brother is indeed a Latios, this should work."
"But I don't know how to do that..."
"You don't have to, if your brother has become a Latios, you should just be able to instinctively communicate with him through telepathy, if you want to. You want to speak to your brother Eric again now, don't you?"
"Well of course I do, I'm just not sure if this will work, but I'll try..." after a few moments, her eyes began to glow a bright blue.
Meanwhile, at Sharpedo Bluff, after Crystal tried communicating with Eric from the Hot Spring through telepathy, his eyes also began glowing a bright blue.
"Huh? What's going on?" he said, as his vision suddenly became that of a Latias. "Latias? No, wait...is that you, Crystal!?"
"You recoginzed me even as a Pokémon! Yes, it's me Crystal, and you're just the handsome looking Latios I'd imagined you to be! Hee-hee!" she chuckled.
"How did you know I became a Latios, Crystal?" Eric asked.
"Well, I didn't really know, I just figured that you most likely became that Pokémon, rather than some other random Pokémon, and it was with the help of a friendly Torkoal that's here at the Hot Spring, to whom I explained all that has happened to, then he provided the useful advice of using telepathy to communicate with you!" she replied.
"You're at the Hot Spring? I'll come there right now!" Eric said, hastily.
"No no, you don't have to come out here, where are you?" she asked.
"I'm at Sharpedo Bluff, just outside of Treasure Town, do you know where that is?"
"Yes, I remember where it is, I don't think it's too awfully far, I'll come to you, it's late, you get some sleep, and I'll be there in a while, you rest easy now, okay Eric?"
"But are you sure you're going to be alright to get here by yourself? I don't want to risk something happening to you..."
"I could say the same thing about you...it's getting late, since you already have somewhere to rest, and I don't, take advantage of it, and rest up while I travel there, alright? Really, I'll be fine, this whole world may be a bit new to me, but I can fend for myself until I get there, the Pokémon in these areas aren't very tough, it's further away that the real trouble lies..."
"Okay, but you be very careful, I don't want you to go getting yourself hurt because I didn't come to get you, Crystal."
"Eric! I'll be fine! I know you're worried about me, but I'm not useless, and you know, you're just as new to this world as I am, the chances of you making it here safely aren't really much better than mine are of reaching you, so just relax already and get some rest now, it's starting to get pretty late, I'll be there by the morning, okay?"
"Alright...just get here safely." then he went to sleep a moment after, and Crystal began making her way to Sharpedo Bluff.
Meanwhile, just inside of the entrance of Apple Woods, Jack appeared, and while he could just as easily turn around and head elsewhere, he decided to proceed into the woods until he finds an apple, then he would exit Apple Woods.
Sharp as always, he immediately thought to see what Pokémon he had become. "A Charmander, eh? Great, once I defeat enough Pokémon, I can evolve into Charizard, my favourite Pokémon, that'll be sweet, just the thought of it burns me up!" he said, as he went a bit deeper into the woods. "Hah! Even in this world I still get attacked right away! I'll just have to take any foes down along the way." he scratched his way through the foes, making his way through, until, luckily, he found a Big Apple, then he made his way out of the woods, with his apple in hand, he headed for Treasure Town, once he got to it's entrance, he decided to rest on the beach, as it was late at night, and he didn't think of somewhere better to go at that late hour that wouldn't disturb anybody.
Early the next morning, Crystal had at last arrived at Sharpedo Bluff, where Eric was still fast asleep. Pikachu, and his best friend, Charmander, were there as well, resting. Crystal slowly went over to Eric and tapped on his back gently to wake him.
"Oh, Crystal, you're here!" Eric said, excited, and glad to see she arrived safely.
"Shh!" she said, with her hand over her mouth. "Let's go above, without waking them." then they both went up top.
"You're safe!" Eric said, as he hugged Crystal.
"Yes, I'm safe, I told you I would be." she said. "And I'm glad to see that you're safe, too."
"Well, yeah, I'm feeling pretty well overall, though I did make a bad entrance...I am just slightly shaken up still from when I was unconscious on the beach."
"What!? You were unconscious!? Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I am okay now, felt a bit dizzy and tired when I first came to though, but I've gotten a decent rest since then, and am feeling quite a lot better now."
"Phew, I'm so glad to hear that, but I'm sorry you had such a rough entrance..."
"What about you, were you alright?"
"Yeah, I felt great, and I was so happy to see that I became a Latias! And I'm happy about the Pokémon you've become, it's just perfect."
"It's certainly pretty ideal. We were brother and sister before we came here, and we remain brother and sister truly here too, as Latios and Latias, we're blessed."
"We are, very." she replied. Then she heard the others starting to wake. "I think they might be waking up now, I'm going to head down to the beach for now."
"Okay, I'll see you soon, I'm just going to watch the sun rise for a short time, then I'll join you." Eric replied.
"Alright, then I'll see you again shortly! See ya!" she said, as she headed for the beach. Then Eric watched the sun rise, then the others came up and greeted him.
"Good morning Eric, watching the sun rise?" Pikachu said.
"Yeah, I enjoy seeing the sun rise in the morning, and to feel it gradually get warmer and warmer, it is nice." Eric replied. "My sister, Crystal, already got here this morning, she got here overnight, and how she has gone without rest all the night and still stay awake, and even seem to still be fairly energetic is impressive."
"Yes, that's pretty good, she must have excellent stamina, to go that length of time and still have as much energy as you say she does." Charmander replied.
"Well, judging by the behavior of the Pokémon Latias in general, it seems to be a quite energetic and perky Pokémon, especially for a legendary Pokémon." Eric said.
"Yep, that sounds about right." Pikachu replied. "Where is Crystal now anyways?"
"She went down to the beach, where I said I'd join her shortly, after I watch the sun rise from up here."
"I see, well I guess we shouldn't keep you, and we've got some things to do ourselves." Pikachu said.
"Okay, then I guess I'll be heading off too. See ya around." he then headed off to the beach where his sister was waiting for him. But, little did he know, Jack would be there too, but at first he mistook him for Pikachu's friend Charmander, since they both look the same.
"Well, you got down here pretty fast, Charmander." Eric said.
"Oh, this isn't that Charmander, Eric, this is Jack!" Crystal replied.
"Yeah, and I understand that when you first arrived in this world, that Crystal was no where to be seen, that you were separated, I realized just after Crystal used the machine, that it sends you to this world, but to no particular place, fortunately though, it seems we all weren't too far apart, since we're already altogether here." Jack said.
"Yes, I'm so glad we weren't separated for very long, I feared the worst when she appeared no where nearby, but we exchanged information on our locations when she had communicated with me through telepathy."
Oh, she did that? That's the advantage of being a Latios and a Latias! I'm happy about what you've become, you have a lot of potential, but right now, you are pretty weak, as am I, you'll just have to fight some Pokémon in dungeons to strengthen yourselves, I've raised a couple of levels, since I appeared just inside of the entrance to Apple Woods, I went in just for enough to find an apple, fortunately I found a big one, and along the way, defeated several Pokémon along the way."
"You did? That was a dangerous thing to do, but I'm glad you managed to survive, I wouldn't even know you were in any fights, you seem completely unharmed." Eric said.
"Oh, I encountered a few foes myself, too, I only raised one level though, guess I didn't have to fight as many Pokémon." Crystal said.
"Or it may just be your species, some Pokémon require more experience to gain a level, especially legendaries, which both of you are, expect to have to work at strengthening yourselves, it may take some time, but you both will grow stronger, with time, as will I." Jack replied.
"That may be it, but I don't think I could've fought as many enemies as you, I fought just a few, surely you fought more than that, Jack, you certainly sound like you did." Crystal said.
"Well maybe a few more, but the point is that you may both need to be patient when trying to strengthen yourselves, that it may take some time and work, don't let yourself ever get discouraged."
"Don't worry about that, we will train with patience, and not get discouraged when it seems like nothing is going right, but be brave and fight through it." Eric said.
"That's good, don't let anything ever make you think differently, either of you. Now, I'm sure you both must want to check out some more of what this world has in store for you, so I won't keep you, good to see you both together and safe, and for now I say farewell, I'm going to head into Beach Cave for some low level fighting that I'll surely be able to handle, but will get me good experience, I suggest the same for you two when you have the opportunity."
"Yeah, we will, thanks for the advice. You be careful in there, and good luck, Jack." Eric said.
Eric and Crystal then left the beach, then saw the entrance to Wigglytuff's Guild, then remembered about Exploration Teams, and thought they would take a shot at starting one themselves. They stopped for a short time as they thought about a name, trying to come up with one, one that had something to do with them, and came up with one, then proceeded to head to the Guild's entrance, as they noticed the opening in ground that could be seen through.
"That opening, that must be where Diglett tells that loud mouth Loudred what the Pokémon is before it enters the guild." Eric said, as he moved forward to it and stopped over once he heard Diglett.
"Pokémon Detected! The Pokémon is a...Latios!?" Diglett said.
"LATIOS!? You are claiming that there is a LEGENDARY Pokémon up there? You MUST be having a BAD day, there's never been ANY legendary Pokémon come here, EVER!" Loudred replied, loudly.
"But I'm positive it is a Latios, there's no mistaking it! Oh, and there's someone else there as well." he said. "You have another with you, please have it step over the hole."
"Okay, it's your turn, come over here, don't be alarmed by the alert like greeting, nothing ever happens, they just check to see what Pokémon it is, so don't worry about it." Eric said, as he moved away from the hole for Crystal to come to.
"Pokémon Detected! The Pokémon is a...you've got to be kidding, it looks to be a Latias." Diglett said.
"WHAT!? Yet another LEGENDARY!? What is THIS all about? Have them proceed NOW! I have to SEE if you're right, it SEEMS more than a LITTLE hard to believe, as GOOD as you ARE with detecting Pokémon by footprint." Loudred replied.
Then Eric and Crystal went into the guild, where they were soon greeted hastily by Chatot.
"Legendary Pokémon!? Here, in the guild? What, I ask, brings you two here?" Chatot said.
"Well, I know you must be surprised by the sight, but we have come here wanting to start our own Exploration Team." Eric replied.
"Any average Pokémon comes strolling in here and says that, but for two legendary Pokémon to come and say that, well, it's never happened before, it's one thing for a team to be started, that eventually recruits legendary Pokémon, but it is quite another for a team to be started and run right from the beginning by a couple of legendaries, but of course there's nothing against that, I just never could've imagined it, legendary Pokémon coming to the guild to start their own Exploration Team, never thought I'd see it."
"But it's true, we're ready to start our daily training as Explorers of our own Exploration Team. Are we in?" Eric said.
"While I can't very well say no to Pokémon like you, that isn't even my call, I'll have to inform the Guildmaster of this first and get his approval before you are accepted as new members of the guild, and have your own Exploration team." Chatot said, then went to the Guildmaster's room and informed him that legendary Pokémon, specifically a Latios and Latias, want to start their own Exploration team. After this, he returned.
"The Guildmaster wants you to come see him right away, come with me." Chatot said. The three of them then went to the guildmaster's room.
"Here they are, the legendary Pokémon I told you wanted to start an Exploration team." Chatot said.
"Hiya! I'm Wigglytuff, the guildmaster. So you two would like to start an Exploration team?" Wigglytuff said.
"Yes, and we have a name in mind for it, Team Eon, I'm pretty sure that name wouldn't be taken, it isn't, is it?" Eric said.
"It certainly isn't. And, welcome to the guild, you're in!" Wigglytuff replied, happily.
"Wha-? Just like that? You don't even know anything about me yet you don't even have to think about it?" Eric said.
"I know a bit about you just by looking at you, you two are Latios and Latias, Eon Pokémon, brother and sister, and legendary, that alone should be enough to be more than enough to get accepted as member of the guild and start your own Exploration Team here." he replied. "Here, take this, it's a must for any Explorers!" He handed over an Explorer Kit, that could hold up to 8 items, and contained the team's Badge, an Oran Berry, a Reviver Seed, and a...Perfect Apple!
"Nice! Thank you. But, are you sure this is alright? I noticed that this apple is a Perfect Apple, which you like very much, and you're okay with giving one away?" Eric said.
"How did you know I loved Perfect Apples? Yes, I'll gladly give you that Perfect Apple, I am sure you will enjoy it when you eat it, it is very satisfying!" he replied.
"So it's settled, you are now members of the guild and will start your training immediately." Chatot said.
And this concludes Chapter 2: The World of Pokémon.

What did you all think? Any good? I'm thinking it's a bit on the lame side... >_>
