Omgawd, I swear I almost soiled my pants when watching that... I know I'm the only true blue Metroid Fan here, but you guys should at least give that a look.
[spoiler2]Nerdy Metroid Hipotesis:
Did you hear that "Any Objections, Lady? For those of who have played and beat Metroid Fusion, Samus mentions that she had a CO that would ask her "Any Objections, Lady" after briefing her about a mission... I won't spoil much, but that is very suggestive that it could be the very same CO (named Adam Malkovich), hence working on Samus' mysterious back story.
Other things I've noticed was the obvious Ridley coming back, as expected, the Space Pirates look more like their Super Metroid cousins, and a new face to the Metroid series, a yet unnamed warrior that also seems to have a Power Suit of sorts (He's African, it seems, and he seems to know Samus in some way).
2 things that looked awesome was that, just like Prime made the Screw Attack Possible in 3D, the Speed Booster from Super Metroid seems to be back, just to be loved again. That, and I'm kind of uncertain about this one, but that One-eyed monster that shot a beam out of its eye... it looks a lot like a more humanoid-looking "Mother Brain Rex", from Super Metroid, a character untouched in the Prime series.
My guess for the temporal location of this game will be way after the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and baybe a bit after Super Metroid, that gotten from the Speed Booster, the thing that reminds me of Mother Brain Rex and the Space Pirates that look like Super Metroid Pirates...
I'm just scared in one thing, the battles in some part looked like a battle the Prince (Prince of Persia) would have in the newest game he had, to many timed hits. I hope that wouldn't be the main way of attacking in this game, it looks beautiful to be ruined with a formula that goes almost completely against the Metroid formula.
Oh, yeah I forgot to say I'm kinda not liking the new Power Suit, I loves the Prime one, this one looks to flat and... un-power-suit-y...
