It's fun. You need the Homebrew Channel (which doesn't do any damage to the wii, yes I'm aiming this at ssbmaster), an SD card, and Gecko OS 1.9.2. You can hack movesets now, thanks to Phantom Wings creating Project SA. And after a little while, they become easy to hack. Took me 6 hours just to get the basics down, but it was worth it. I gave Mario a taunt kill, his down special is his Mario Tornado (usable on the ground too), and gave him a fiery kick that does between 5-7 damage for his dair. You can replace music now, which should have been a feature in SSBB in the first place. Have fun fighting to Iron Maiden or whatever you kids listen to these days. With the music hacking comes texture hacking. That means custom costumes for whoever you want. Pretty soon, model hacking will be possible (I think) along with sound replacement. This means you can possibly replace entire characters. Aran Ryan replacing Sheik, anyone? Everything you need to know about Project SA in one convenient post. Includes download links to the things you need.Download this to get file replacement working. Put it in the codes folder on the root of your SD card.Everything else you'll have to search for yourself, because I'm going to bed. I'll probably update this post after I wake up tomorrow.

Yeah, I had heard about this and started searching...
But I couldn't put the Homebrew channel on my cousin's Wii (just sent my Wii to nintendo so they can fix it, and I'm in the US right now) since the latest version that the Twilight Hack is compatible with is 3.4
In the end, interesting find. I'll get into seeing that once I get home and get my Wii back (in about the beginning of November)

I've got it on my wii now. Use it mostly for VBA and SNES, but somethings for the other games that are NOT ripped. Some are good, others are not. Yeah, I had heard about this and started searching... But I couldn't put the Homebrew channel on my cousin's Wii (just sent my Wii to nintendo so they can fix it, and I'm in the US right now) since the latest version that the Twilight Hack is compatible with is 3.4 In the end, interesting find. I'll get into seeing that once I get home and get my Wii back (in about the beginning of November) When you get your Wii back it will be upgraded to 4.1, which means no Twilight hack. But you can use bannerbomb and the Bootmii Installer. Just need an SD card, and the stuff. I can set it up for you if you need. Takes about 5 minutes to install it, and you can back up your Wii if it bricks (which is possible, but has yet to happen to me, and I've had it on for about a year now) Oh, and HAI GUYS!!!

Within the last week, they've found out a few cool things. Pharrox from smashboards successfully replaced a model, but it crashes as soon as the match starts. All he has to do is figure out what's causing the crash and fix it, and we have an almost fully customizable Brawl. All that's left after this is stage and sound hacking.
Gonna update the OP, sorry for being lazy. My friends have been bugging me nonstop all month.
And Shadrio, I'll put the Homebrew Channel installation guide up for you. Before you install it, look at the bottom of your Wii. If the label says LU64 or anything higher, use the second guide.

They really went wild with the hacking textures. My god they turned Ike into Vincent Valentine.
That my friends, is an epic win.

Mine does! But I can't play my little Wii games anymore. It stops ticking and ejecting when I play for too long.

Lol that's not his fault actually... I censored his name so you all would just automatically call him that. lol But like most censors, it's gonna get in the way over speaking. Oh and btw... *FOAMS AT MOUTH* I tried to play Brawl the other day with my niece... It doesn't even read Wii Games... -_- So we ended up playing Melee, and she practically whipped my ass with Ganon. (Take note, she's 4.) I also forgot how original Mewtwo was. lol Which is who I was using... BUT ANYWAY! About that hacking, does anyone know what happens if you upgrade your Wii while having the Homebrew channel on it? It just removes Homebrew doesn't it? Oh and Shadrio that stage looks epic fun. -_- *Highfives pathetically because my Wii is broken*

BUT if you update to the latest homebrew channel, then update it will be fine, and you can go on normal. I need to update mine, but I haven't played it much. I've only been using it for GBA/SNES games, and now I can do that with a computer, so not much reason. Not that I don't have games to play, but mine overheats a bit. I think the only brawl hacking I've done is pallet swaps, and a bit of stage editing. Though I have wanted to add in some extra characters. As for NSMBW, I WANT >_< But, I'm ok without it.

I used BBrawl with it. (AMAZING) I'm just throwing this ignorant hope that my Wii will be fixed if I update my system. Lol. What could it hurt, right? XD

FAIL, Fiya Faux. It's because your Wii's Lector is old and used up. SSBB and Metroid: Other M rape it. You got to fix it. You either have to do it yourself or send it to nintendo. The latter one costs 70 dollars and deletes all the info on your Wii (tell them to save it to a SD card or save it yourself). I recommend you actually calling Nintendo to recieve more info. And BBrawl had an update. And for those interested in testing my NSMBW stage (Shock and Nuggets?), just ask me via PM, and I'll tell you what do download and install). Maybe Nuggy's Wii can test the stage for you, Fiya Faux...

One thing though, I think if they find you have homebrew (Which they will), it cost like $120. Maybe plus the $70. Deleteing it don't do nothin'. Now, If you're Xbox breaks (RRoD), you can sooo fix that. I fixed mine, and it hasn't fucked up once. 8 cent, who knew! I don't have NSMBW, so I can't. Otherwise, i would.

a) LOL effin spanish... "Disc Reader" or WHATEVER, YOU GET IT >_>' b) Strange, it cost me 70 dollars when I did it and it had Homebrew once, but not when I sent it. c) LOL. Ok, no problem. I wonder if I can get some one to test it without having to join a forum to do so... the only two forums I go to (NinDB and this one, lol) can't do it. NinDB is too lazy to care about anything that has to do with hacking (you should see how many links to Brawl hacking and links to NSMBW hacking I posted that have been ignored on NinDB). I intend to get someone to videotape it one day... I wonder if I can find someone do everything in the stage without taking one hit... lol, what are you thinking Shadrio?

There's not that much new stuff. There are a few new things like Bowser's Side Smash is even more powerful (with an explosion in front of it), Snake being able to use his Cipher again if he's grabbed while using it and Link being able to use his Clawshot at the end of his Aerial Up Special (before entering help fall mode).

Well no, but a few things that are really sweet. Such as being able to cancel Fox's Side B with a second jump or a wall jump. Little things make a big difference to meh. Zelda's B moving like Luigi's is cool. Does anyone get the feeling though, that these changes are getting somewhat out of control? I haven't playedit yet, but I can't shake the feeling that something is going to go wrong.

What I would have loved was weakening and making Din's Fire's Hitbox smaller... That attack has way too much range and is way too powerful, it's almost broken, IMO.
And some things do seem more like unbalanced than balanced. Like Bowser's Side Smash or Link's Arrows... those things at max charge is virturally a OHKO for characters with bad recovery like DK. I personally think that DK's recovery should be able to ascend if the player repeatedly taps B, because while that move is an ok recovery move horizontally, but sucks balls vertically, and DK has no other recovery moves.

I think they could've toned down Link's arrow a bit for airborn enemies, but it's effect on the ground makes perfect sense. Bowser's side smash was random. lol I like the armor though. Since it's slow...
