Lol It's funny, I was just curious one day and googled it. Rumor's are flying around like crazy. People are already announcing release dates for it for next year, etc. And while seeing all of these people going absolutely nuts over who should be in the next one, how the next one is gonna own, and what possible new game mechanics could be added, I can't help but find myself remembering that first time I googled SSB3, and found a certain forum.
Like I said though, rumors are flying all over the place. People believe that a SSBDS will come out (Which would in fact be really awesome.) and another one for a console.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

All I know is that I wouldn't accept another Smash game unless if it's pro-community, like how Valve is with all those community maps and shits. A SSB64 3DS with online and only the original roster and Side B attacks and Chargeable smashes would be the exception.

I won't accept another smash game if it doesn't involve Krystal, and they don't shortcut the game in ANY part. Brawl would've been so much better than it was, but because of the stupid "Time-frame" they had to chop out some extra characters, and wrap up the rest of things roughly. Take for example, the stage editor. We clearly see it has serious depth, the only problem is that in order to actually use all the depth that it has, we have to use Stage Studio, a fan made program, to flesh out the Brawl Stage Studio's capabilities. (Wtf moment indeed.)

And how do those affect the game? I mean stability wise? Does it crash more then?

Stage Studio: www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=217759And as for the modified models, they don't ever crash. They're just vertex modifications, sort of like how textures are just swapped. In other words, one of those modified models goes over just one texture. Normally it is said on Brawl Vault when it is a one slot vertex hack or a total character vertex hack.

Way to place a prophecy on me J-Nizzle! It's hard enough to live up to my own. *Smack*
Also, I meant to share my dissappointment with what I said. I will probably buy another SSB. (Depending on certain circumstances.)
But that doesnt change the fact that Brawl could've been SO much better than it was. I'm hoping Nintendo pulls it's head out of it's ass and creates the 4th one magnificently. I hope that the 4th one actually makes SSB players giddy with it's awesomeness, and that they play it for AGES. Just. Simply. Jawdropping.
But yes.

A portable Super Smash Bros. would be really neat. But, is that not a lot to put onto one DS game card?

If it's on the Wii, I'd consider another Smash. However, I'll pass on buying another Nintendo system.

I hope it's on another console. I'm sick of the cruddy online and power. By the time the other console comes out, I'd probably have a job anyway.

Ah, yes. On the 3DS that shit will rule. Brawl level graphics on handheld FTW. There is a SSB on DS, btw. As far as I know, it's not very well done, and you can only play mario. But does work. And you need a R4 for it, of course. And

I see a Kirby in the background. Either case, if you get an R4 DS & install Project 64k with it, you should be able to use LAN Battles via DS Wifi if you hack it.

I'm not sure if I would approve of smash brothers being on a hand held, lol. Even if it was a port.
Gamecube controller ftw.

True enough. Also, a smash hand-held would tear MY handheld system to pieces. It's okay now because my Gamecube controller takes the brunt of it. (Pfft. I mean my Wii-mote.) Unless I used it onl when traveling, but I'm not sure I could just play smash without getting competitive on it. lol Being competitive is fun.

The funny thing is I found SBO by searching for Super Smash Bros. 3 rumors.
We aren't going to see another console Smash game until the Wii has a successor though. That could take a while.

That would be the same case for me, too. I still remember how someone once made a thread asking if the site was official... I responded something like "yes, DUH"...
God, I was such a freakin' noob back then x-D
But yeah. I really hope the next console SSB is on the "Wii2". I'm pretty much betting that 2011 will have some tiny tidbits of info on the next console. I mean, is there any other series, other than Pikmin 3 and LoZ: Skyward Sword that is better off being on the Wii than the next console? Games like F-Zero (with online multiplayer) really feel like should be on the Wii2, while another Star Fox and Kirby should be on the 3DS.
Either way, I just hope they announce the next Smash game while it is near completion. Brawl's awesome, but it feels like it could have been better. It feels like the fan's rabid anticipation (mine included) for the game made them rush certain parts.
