Guild Wars is an MMORPG based in the world of Tyria. The game itself offers 6 original professions. (Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Necromancer, Mesmer, and Elementalist.)
The expansions Guild Wars: Factions and Guild Wars: Nightfall offer the other four professions. (Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, and Paragon.)
Guild Wars offers a HUGE selection of skills to choose from that your character can equip. Some skills are duplicates of others.
The maps are all instanced. Meaning that every time you go out into a map, it's your own personal map. This mechanic has it's advantages and disadvantages.
This game has a very competitive (PvP), but what I've found is that people have set skills in order to have that "competitive" edge. It's such a problem that if you don't have a specific build for certain matches, that you don't even get into a party. (Very irritating.)
Not all the competitive aspects revolve around that though. There are other ways of competing on a lower level, but again, they are a lower level.
Ask questions and lets get this thread rolling.

*clicks first link* OMG Nigger Angel, I'm sold... too bad I have to pay...
What? Can you blame me? I play RO for over 5 years and never paid a single buck... I guess I can still try the trial mode, though...

True enough. I am glad I paid for Guild Wars though. It's just one of those games I was very happy with paying for.

You know, I think I still may remember my stuff, so as long as you don't delete my important guys (i'd have to check first), if you like it, you could maybe use mine. If my brother isn't, that is.

Ew account sharing. That brings nothing but problems. If Shadrio ever wanted to buy something from the in-game shop, it would be sealed on your account. Even if he only borrowed it, he's still "trying" out the game on your account. That means that all of his hard work would be left on your account, and he would instantly be shut out if you chose to take your account back.
My suggestion is that Shadrio uses a trial version, and tests the game that way. I am not a fan of account sharing. There are too many ways that it can turn into a sour situation.

Well that's what I said. Try the trial first, and IF he likes it, maybe he can use my account. And yeah, I know what you mean, but if he were to ever get his own account, we could just trade stuff over. Though OK, progress would be lost. But I don't even play anymore, so it's not a huge deal.

Everyone I've met who has shared accounts on any MMO has had some sort of bitching complaint about it. I enjoy owning the games I play and would never let anyone, especially those I have only met online, access them.

Somebody ask a legit motherfucking question already. Assuming you've got all the games, which is your favorite campaign?

Overall my favorite is Prophecies. And that's strictly environment related. Pre-Searing is simply amazing, and I'm a sucker for the Shiverpeaks.
However, I believe that Nightfall's missions are more involved and funner than the ones in Prophecies.
