So, let's just roll this up into one post. Biggest/awesomest news first, yeah?
Technical bits:
- Named Wii U.
- Looks Similar to the Wii, but smoother and rounder.
- Controller is odd. Looks like a small iPad; has 6.2in Screen, and acts a home-teathered portable; Stream game from WiiU to Controller, use in conjuction with WiiU, and various other things.
- Graphics are seemingly 360/PS3 level.
- Games appearing will be Batman Arkham City (yeah, the new one), Assassin's Creed, Darksiders II, Metro Last Light, Others.
- Smash Brothers. That is All.
Technical bits:
- High definition display, up to 1080p resolution via HDMI output
- 6.2" touchscreen on New Controller, running in non-HD resolution
- Internal flash-based media storage, upgradeable via USB and SD cards
- Games ship on proprietary iDensity discs of unspecified, but "large capacity"
- Games will also be available as downloadable content
- Console compatible with Wii games and devices
- Release date between April 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012; or after the end of Nintendo's fiscal year
3DS:- Virtual Console for Gameboy games online today/now
- New Mario Kart: Has Customizable karts (Chassis, wheels, glider); Glider appears when jumping from ramps. Main karts are MK DS Style.
- New Mario: New Super Mario Bros. In Mario 64 Style, with some Galaxy Elements; Adds Tanooki Suit. Comes out by end of year.
- Kid Icarus: Uprising - Awesome. Has Voice acting for everyone (even Pit); Multiplayer, 3on3 Battles to kill the other teams Angel.
- Smash Brothers. That is all.
- Pokedex 3DS: Similar to in-game pokedex; Allows you to place Pokemon in pictures of stuff (Groudon in Grand Canyon). Starts with 16 pokemon, can be expanded by meeting other people (not sure on this one, really); is free. Available with new 3DS Update on eShop.
- Zelda: Links Awakening available on eShop today; Four swords in September, and is free.
